For Visitors: Using the Platform
How does the "Vibe Check" feature work?
At the very top of our home page, you will sometimes see a large Live Spotlight banner featuring a premium event. Built directly into that banner are interactive "Vibe Check" emojis (🔥 Packed, 🍻 Chill, 😴 Dead). If you're at the venue, tap the button to let the rest of the city know what the crowd is like right now! It updates in real-time.
Note: To keep things authentic, the Vibe Check buttons only appear on the exact day of the event. If an event is promoted weeks in advance, the voting buttons will remain hidden until midnight on the day of the show.
Why does the site only show events for "Today"?
We believe in living in the moment. By default, TwinPortsEvent filters everything to show you exactly what is happening Today so you can plan your immediate night out without endless scrolling. You can easily switch to the "This Week" or "All Upcoming" tabs to see future events.
How can I save an event to my calendar?
Simply click on any event card to open its details. Inside, you'll find an "Add to Calendar" button that instantly syncs the event to your Apple or Google calendar so you never miss a beat.

What is a Spotlight Ad?
A Spotlight Ad is our premium advertising tier designed specifically for local venues and event organizers who want to guarantee high visibility. When you purchase a Spotlight Ad, your event is injected directly into our Massive Hero Banner at the top of the homepage and pinned to the exclusive Featured Events carousel.
The "Trending" Multiplier
Because Spotlight Ads include the interactive "Vibe Check" voting system, highly-rated events automatically trigger a glowing red 🔥 TRENDING TONIGHT badge, driving even more targeted local traffic to your door.
How much does it cost?
A standard Spotlight Ad is incredibly affordable at just $49 per week. Compare this to traditional radio or print ads—our platform guarantees that your event is put directly in front of active users who are actively looking for something to do in Duluth and Superior right now.
How do I purchase a Spotlight Ad?
Getting started is easy. Click "Submit Event" or "Log In" at the top of the page. Once you've created your venue account and submitted your event, you will have the option in your Creator Console to upgrade any standard listing to a Spotlight Ad instantly via Stripe.
General & Technical
Where do you get your event data?
Our proprietary automated system safely scans publicly accessible schedule pages from participating local venues (such as the DECC, Bent Paddle, and Ursa Minor). We aggregate this data to support community organizations, increase venue reach, and support local business discoverability.
I'm a venue owner. Can I opt-out or claim my listings?
Absolutely. We respect data ownership. Venues can easily claim ownership of their automated listings or request exclusions by creating a free account in our Creator Console. Once claimed, you have full manual control over your event descriptions, imagery, and Spotlight upgrades.
